Why Hearts at Rest exists

Most people who are carrying a loss do not talk about it any more. Not because it stopped hurting, but because everyone around them has moved on, and saying it again feels like too much.

So they carry it at night, on their phones, alone. That is where we wanted to meet them.

Hearts at Rest makes books and reminders for that hour. Short enough to read when you have nothing left. Plain enough to understand when you cannot think straight. And honest about where every word comes from.

What we hold ourselves to

Every source shown

Every ayah and hadith we use is referenced, so you never have to take our word for it.

No rulings

We write reflection, not fatwas. Where something is a question of religious law, we leave it to the people qualified to answer it.

Plain words

Written the way people actually feel things, not the way a lecture sounds.

Made to be shared

Everything we make can be passed on to someone who needs it more.

Our name comes from the verse: “Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” (13:28)
